The Whites boss knows what it takes to win promotion and won't let one defeat affect his squad
Daniel Farke will not overreact to Leeds United's first league defeat of 2024, but instead use all his experience to get his side quickly back on track in the race for the Premier League.
"It's definitely important, and I also have to calm myself down a little bit," he said following Saturday's loss. "I have won the league before and and I never went through a season without the defeat, especially on the road when you were struggling a bit in terms of effectiveness. Farke is not one to over-celebrate a win, nor will he be too despondent in defeat, especially with a home game against Sunderland on the horizon on Tuesday night. Having guided Norwich to the Championship title, he is fully aware of the value of staying calm at this vital stage of the season - and has urged his players to dig in to get the job done.
"There are always odds in your way and some stones in your way and we won't dwell on the last result. To bring this experience and this calmness is also quite important but also to make sure that we don't fall asleep and we are not too calm. We still want to show reaction, especially on Tuesday, in order to keep going."
