The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning to parts of the East of England.
The Met Office said wintry showers and icy patches could hit the county between 12:00 GMT on Thursday and 10:00 GMT on Friday.Areas likely to be affected include Thorney, Eye, Stibbington and the northern end of Cambridgeshire.
The Met Office said icy patches were expected to form on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths during Thursday evening and overnight into Friday morning as temperatures dropped below freezing, especially following any showers. Its advice is to leave the house "at least five minutes earlier than normal" to avoid the need to rush and to use pavements along main roads that are likely to be less slippery.Cambridge Fire and Rescue Service has also issued advice during the cold spell.
