Mark Gray, 34, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with wilful fireraising and serious assault in connection with an incident on Mill Road on Thursday, January 16.
A Cambuslang man has appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court facing ten charges after a fire at a property in the town.
Gray was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. His next appearance is expected within eight days, Lanarkshire Live reports. A fundraiser launched for the family affected by the fire has reached nearly £5,000. The community has since come together to support the family by backing the fundraiser set up by Robert Kennedy.
"We’ve set this gofundme up in the hope that all of the community can come together to help them get through these terrible times and put some clothes on their backs. Every little bit will help them in a big way."
