The NCP is a nearly $7.2 million partnership. The CRC was meant to distribute the money to pay the organizations over four years. So far, the CRC was given just over $1 million for payments.BACKGROUND |Kassoum-Amadou says Cameron Community stopped receiving money after September 2023. One of the programs impacted is the Barber Apprenticeship Program, Cameron Cuts, which provides free haircuts while helping students earn their barber's license."We had seven employees that were paid under the NCP project and one of those employees from the Barber Apprenticeship Program is furloughed and we also have two other staff from the culinary arts and logistics program that have been now furloughed," said Kassoum-Amadou.
