Cameron Diaz has revealed that she would be interested in reprising her role as Tina Carlyle in a sequel to the 1994 comedy, The Mask, if her co-star Jim Carrey is also keen. The actress made the statement during an interview to promote her new film, 'Back in Action', alongside Jamie Foxx. Diaz played Stanley Ipkiss's girlfriend in the original film, which launched her career and made her a sex symbol. The interviewer informed Diaz that Carrey, who starred as Stanley Ipkiss, has also expressed interest in returning for a sequel.

The news comes as the San Diego-born actress broke her eight-year acting retirement to star in a new comedy alongside Jamie Foxx. She revealed that she took some time away from Hollywood because she wanted to focus on her family. Speaking to Still Watching Netflix, she explained: ‘ I was not keeping up with any kind of training. I did nothing public. I said no to everything. ‘I being a mum and living my day-to-day. I trying to stay alive just like every other mother.
