We have teamed up with Camilla, Queen Consort and the Royal Voluntary Service to launch an awards scheme honouring volunteers ❤

As president of the Royal Voluntary Service, she has helped shine a light on millions of unsung heroes across the country. Now the Queen Consort has launched a new awards scheme to celebrate the “herculean efforts of our nation’s volunteers.”

Aiming to celebrate and inspire the next generation of volunteers in particular, the Coronation Champions Awards will recognise exceptional volunteers across Britain at this momentous point in history. Nominations are open to people aged 14 and over, with judges on the lookout for Young Coronation Champions – rising stars in volunteering – among other categories.

Or you can help the charity to be there for someone who needs them with a donation. Just £6a month covers the cost of a volunteer for a year.“I know from experience that volunteers don’t do what they do for praise or glory, but I also know that they absolutely deserve it. The coronation is the perfect time for us to come together and really show volunteers just how much we appreciate everything they do for our health and happiness.

And last year the Queen Consort supported the Royal Voluntary Service’s Platinum Champions Awards, an official project to recognise volunteers as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. The awards are being supported by celebrities including Dame Judi Dench, Elaine Paige, Nadiya Hussain, Felicity Kendal and Tom Read Wilson.

Singer Elaine, 74, adds, “As a Royal Voluntary Service ambassador, I’ve seen first-hand just how invaluable volunteers are in our communities and I’m looking forward to applauding their great work.”
