Summer term is nearly over and many shops have started stocking new school uniform ready for September. But despite supermarket deals and shops running special offers, the cost of a new school uniform soon mounts up. Particularly if you need to fork out for PE kit as well.Here’s what you need to know:
As part of the guidance, schools should limit the number of branded items they have in the uniform. This is because branded items often cost more and have to be bought from specific shops. Your school should provide details about where you can get second-hand uniform on its website. If not, contact the school directly to get information.

They will be able to let you know what support is available. While many schools won’t be able to help you directly with funding, they’ll be able to let you know of any grants available.
