Jackie ran the London Marathon dressed as a London Bus My legs were screaming. My arms were burning. But my heart had never felt fuller. As The Mall came into view, I allowed myself to believe the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon in a 10-person costume was ours. Twenty-four hours earlier, me and a team of friends had been dragging ourselves – attached to one another inside our ‘London Bus’ made of plumbing pipes, hula hoops and yoga mats – up a hill wondering if we’d manage a mile.

Jackie had just gotten married before she ran the 2017 London Marathon in her wedding dress Cancer steals your time, energy, joy and your loved ones. Mine stole my breast, rearranged my body and made it hard to look in the mirror. Ten years clear isn’t a milestone enough people reach – and I’m determined to change that. Movement is my life insurance policy. It makes me feel alive. I’ve pushed myself and others to believe that when you shoot for the impossible, you find out what’s possible.
