NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn't going to mess with Canelo
Two-time Super Bowl winner Mahomes attempts to join in, as he jokingly squares up to the Mexican fighter.
Mahomes quickly realises this is a bad idea, however, as he puts his hands up to show that he is out of his depth and walks away briskly. And while boxing may not be Mahomes' strong suit, he did show that he has a knack for basketball as well as American football.In a video posted to Twitter, Mahomes is warming up ahead of one of his rounds and he is thrown a basketball that he catches and then lands a shot from a long way out.
This clearly surprised Canelo, as he turns around with a shocked look on his face, impressed by what he has just seen. Soon, Mahomes will have to turn his attention from golf and basketball back to the NFL, as he prepares for a sixth season with the Kansas City Chiefs., when he will defend his undisputed titles at 168 lbs against the current undisputed super welterweight champion, Jermell Charlo.
