Givens, who also co-owns, legally represents and/or partners with multiple medical and recreational marijuana-related companies throughout the country, alsoDespite that city having an established cannabis moratorium in place, Givens expressed interest during a May 14 meeting in opening a dual-use medical and adults-only recreational cannabis dispensary in Middleburg Heights’ Ward 1.
“Specifically, the ordinance has some offsets and, as you may know, those offsets essentially limit the location of an adult-use cannabis dispensary to Brookpark Road, and we have contacted as many owners who will take our phone call on Brookpark Road,” Givens said. “We would like to discuss with the city its ordinance,” Givens said. “It’s premature at this point to ask you to amend your ordinance, so what I’d like to do is potentially come back with a little more than five minutes, provide some information on where we’ve been since the passage of adult use.”
