But neighbours described the area as friendly
Residents of a 'friendly' Nottinghamshire street have spoken out after hundreds of cannabis plants were found in a home on the road. Nottinghamshire Police discovered hundreds of cannabis plants inside a house in Stapleford while investigating a potential break-in on Saturday, June 3.
Around 300 cannabis plants were discovered and electricity was found to have been dangerously bypassed to power the illegal operation. The drugs were all seized by police, while the growing equipment was also taken out of commission. "I read about it in the news but I didn't see anything. I was literally walking up the street a little before it happened. We've live here for two years, and we've not had any problems on the street."
“On top of that, these operations usually rely on vulnerable people being exploited and forced to live in horrible conditions while tending to these plants – all for the benefit of others.
