The sporting brand has been making rugby boots for 120 years
Canterbury has unveiled a new range of their Speed Infinite Elite boots. Just as footballers don their football boots and basketball players slip into their trainers, rugby players need the right footwear to elevate their game. Gone are the days of dusting off your decade-old pair from the bottom of your boot bag. To stay competitive, you need gear that outperforms your rivals.
Touted as their lightest boot yet, the Speed Infinite Elite has shed as much weight as possible through targeted stitch reinforcement, with the design generated using AI. This is paired with a Vaposkin membrane that minimises wind resistance while running, ensuring minimal energy loss, reports Wales Online.
Although these boots are yet to be reviewed, their predecessor, the Speed Infinite Elite, received a glowing endorsement from the well-known Lovell Rugby YouTube channel and store last year. He said: "So that's my play test review of the Canterbury Speed Elite - and that's what they are, Elite. Canterbury has taken their hundred years worth of history and knowledge and applied it to their tech features so that they actually perform on your feet.
