Caoimhin Kelleher has spoken about Liverpool's Premier League title challenge and how Arne Slot has given everyone a 'fresh start'
Caoimhin Kelleher admits Liverpool are having to compete to a 'crazy' standard for the Premier League title as he explained why momentum is continuing under new head coach Arne Slot. Slot has enjoyed the best start of any Reds boss having won nine of his first 10 games in charge, with Liverpool a point clear at the Premier League summit, into the last 16 of the League Cup and having won their opening two Champions League games.
“If we want to compete we need to be on a similar level to them and keep these performances up and, most importantly, keep the results up.” Kelleher is presently with the Republic of Ireland squad preparing for their UEFA Nations League clash in Greece on Sunday. The 25-year-old has already featured twice for Liverpool this season under Slot and believes the Reds have benefited from retaining most of the squad who featured last term under Jurgen Klopp .
