The fire service has released a statement
A car is believed to have been deliberately set on fire at a popular Bramocte walking spot. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services sent crews from Stapleford to reports of a fire in Baulk Lane, Stapleford at 1:08am on Monday, August 7.
The route is popular with dog walkers, walkers and runners in the Stapleford and Bramcote area. The fire service believes that the blaze was started deliberately. A post on Stapleford Fire Station Facebook page said: "Overnight on Monday, our team were mobilised to a report of a car fire in Bramcote. Upon arrival, a vehicle was found to be well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were used to control the fire and prevent it spreading."Six firefighters attended the scene." Images show a vehicle fully alight with fire fighters putting out the fire.
"Upon arrival, a crew from Stapleford discovered this was a car on fire, and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire. It is believed to have been started deliberately and the incident was passed to the police.”
