Emergency services rushed to Crawford Drive in East Kilbride on Thursday morning following the incident, in which a car was seen on its side after smashing into a barrier at a pedestrian crossing.
The incident occured outside a primary school on Crawford Drive, in East Kilbride around 9am on Thursday morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene and police were said to be 'directing traffic' according to social media reports.
Pictures shared with Glasgow Live shows a car on its side after appearing to have crashed into a barrier at a pedestrian crossing, which has been destroyed. The extent of injuries, if any, remain unclear. It is understood the vehicle involved has since been uplifted.
