A prolific car thief, Callum Roberts, who caused a crash in Shrewsbury town centre and led officers on a 45-minute chase in North Wales, has been jailed. Roberts stole a car from a Chinese restaurant delivery driver and crashed it into a police car during a pursuit.

He was taken into custody having crashed the woman’s Audi into a police car after a chase in Shrewsbury on an evening when the town was busy with pubgoers. The victim had left her son at home and her car in the driveway. Her son invited Roberts, another man and two women around, and that was when Roberts stole the keys.in the Focus, doing donuts in the B&M Bargains car park in Cheshire Street and driving in Morrison’s car park in Maer Lane.
