Everton and Liverpool are both in Carabao Cup action this evening as Sean Dyche and Jurgen Klopp seek victories
Everton and Liverpool will be looking to continue their progress in the Carabao Cup this evening as they face Aston Villa and Leicester City respectively.
Should either Everton and Liverpool be involved in a contentious decision this evening, this will not be checked by VAR as the video technology is not utilised in the Carabao Cup until the semi-final stage. VAR was previously used in the early rounds of the Carabao Cup during the 2018/19 campaign, though the EFL decided to ditch the system the following season due to it only being available at Premier League grounds.
“There were a couple of offside decisions where everybody in the stadium was convinced it was offside, I don’t know if it was in the end or not, and we couldn’t watch it back.
