The Los Angeles Police Department was pursuing a stolen vehicle towing a food vendor trailer.
A carjacking suspect flipped a stolen coffee cart during a pursuit with the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday night. The owner of the mobile coffee store said the truck towing the car was in his dad's driveway when it was stolen. One of the employees was inside when the suspect stole it, according to the owner. The suspect sped through city streets before reaching Tujunga Avenue and Chandler Boulevard in North Hollywood.
searched the neighborhood for nearly 30 minutes until spotting the suspect walking through a nearby parking lot. He jumped from a storage container and onto a roof before falling into another parking lot. Officers set up a perimeter around the lot and sent a dog to find the driver. After a brief search, the suspect emerged from a porta-potty and surrendered to police.
