Carl Berdal thought his season was already over after sustaining separate injuries on his knees that forced him to sit out most of the games of Arellano University in the NCAA Season 99 men's volleyball tournament.
After making the most of his time away from the game to recover and get to his old form, the sophomore spiker returned just in time to boost the Chiefs' Final Four campaign.
The 6-foot Berdal immediately made an impact in his comeback as the Chiefs successfully booked a return trip to the Final Four alongside defending champion Perpetual and higher-ranked EAC and Letran. The sophomore outside hitter admitted however he is still adjusting on the court after missing out on their past seven games.
