Carl Froch has explained his perspective on what happened in his famous ’80,000 fans at Wembley’ interview with Floyd Mayweather back in 2015.
At the weigh-in the day before Mayweather’s historic fight with Manny Pacquiao, Froch spoke to the pound-for-pound king as part of Sky’s coverage.This was not long after he announced his retirement and began working as a pundit. He proceeded to make the conversation all about himself and told Mayweather in detail how he knocked out George Groves in his last fight with 80,000 fans watching at Wembley.
Seven years later the interview remains fondly remembered and Froch has now given his version of events, insisting it was a pre-meditated joke on his behalf.
