A Delta flight carrying the Carolina Panthers home from New England touched down safely in Charlotte, then had to be attended to by emergency personnel.
The Carolina Panthers' team plane touched down safely in Charlotte early Friday morning after returning from their first preseason game against the New England Patriots.That's when things got interesting.According to multiple reports out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the Delta plane carrying the team's players and staff veered off the taxiway and into mud.
Perhaps coincidentally, a different flight to Charlotte experienced such severe turbulence in the air that four flight attendants were injured and reportedly had to be taken to a hospital upon landing Thursday.Players, coaches and staff reportedly bussed to the terminal after the plane was evacuated.Carolina's long night followed a tough slog on the gridiron in its preseason opener.
