Caroline Lucas plots farcical Brexit coup that includes female only 'emergency Cabinet'

CAROLINE LUCAS has called on women across the political spectrum to band together and form an “emergency Cabinet” to stop Boris Johnson from taking the UK out of the EU without a deal.

In an open letter to 10 female politicians, the Green MP said history had shown women could “bring a different perspective to crises” and said the time has come for them to put their differences aside and work together for the good of the country. Ms Lucas reached out to Liberal Democrats leader Jo Swinson, shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry, SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, Labour’s Yvette Cooper and former Conservative Cabinet minister Justine Greening among others.
