Fed-up drivers stuck in this huge traffic jam may have thought it was due to the ongoing fuel crisis. The standstill in Cheltenham was all down to a mother swan and her cygnets slowly crossing the road.
Christopher Riley, 60, who works at an accident repair centre, took the hilarious picture by Pittville Park. Most cars patiently waited for the birds to cross, all except for one driver.Mr Riley said: ‘Pittville Park is our local beauty spot with a large lake you can walk around. ‘The swans are usually on the larger lake but this morning they were on the smaller lake and decided to cross the road back to the large lake.‘All the drivers were patient and courteous apart from one. Over 20 cars stopped for the swans.’
