Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is reportedly considering a move away from Manchester United in the January transfer window. Several Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in signing the 32-year-old, but face challenges due to foreign player quotas.

Multiple clubs in Saudi Arabia 'remain attentive' to Casemiro 's situation at Manchester United, as the midfielder eyes a move away from Old Trafford in the January transfer window, it has been reported. The 32-year-old has struggled for game time under Ruben Amorim since he replaced Erik ten Hag as United's new head coach in November.

In fact, Casemiro made his first start in six Premier League matches during their 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle on Monday, having played just 27 minutes in their previous five. There has been some talk that the Brazilian could leave United in the winter. A report by UOL claimed that Casemiro has 'agreed' to leave United, and Public Investment Fund, who own several clubs including Saudi quartet Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, are 'determined' to sign the defensive midfielder. And now, journalist Ben Jacobs has provided a fresh update on Casemiro's future and the interest from the Saudi Premier League. He reports that the challenge for most Saudi clubs is that their foreign quotas are full, so outgoings or deregistering players for league games will be needed for business to take place. Al-Ahli, for example, are in the market for a holding midfielder but to sign Casemiro they would need to offload or deregister at least one of their nine non-Saudi players. Ivan Toney, Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez are among the former Premier League stars playing at Al-Ahli right now. Fellow Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad are said to have made 'the most concrete approach over the summer', while Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah are also said to be interested. Casemiro could leave in January but former United midfielder Kleberson claimed back in November that Casemiro was 'getting better' and felt he had a future under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. 'Casemiro is the one player who doesn’t shy away from the pressure; he can handle the pressure,' he told the Metr
