More than £900,000 has been granted to Glasgow City Council to help improve safety on the city’s roads.

Members of the City Administration Committee have accepted a total of £941,711 to fund projects which will help it meet its 2030 road safety target.

“We see loads of floating bus stops which means every time these people come off the bus they need to cross the cycle lane before they can get to the footpath. “In my own ward Hurlet Road and Barrhead road crossing does not have any pedestrian crossing whatsoever so it is a very dangerous road.”Members were advised that the committee had already discussed, at length, the different processes council officers go through to accommodate different needs as best as possible.
