Amanda Holden is rumoured to be the next host of This Morning , replacing Cat Deeley, amid claims that viewers have not warmed to her. Reports suggest that fans of the popular daytime TV show "haven't taken" to Deeley since she started in March this year, reports the Daily Record..
Despite Deeley and Shephard's introduction, their tenure has faced criticism. Deeley told the Sunday Times about instances where Shephard's jokes were misinterpreted by critics, saying: "Ben will make a joke and it will be, like, 'He snapped at her! ". Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda is no stranger to the This Morning sofa, having filled in for Holly during her maternity leave and also appeared on the show from 2014 to 2019, according to the Express,
However, per reports by The Sun, she missed the opportunity allegedly due to Phillip's influence. Insiders claimed that despite being a strong contender, Amanda was overlooked as Phillip reportedly had a preference for Rochelle Humes, deeming her "easier to manage".
