A mum was left furious after her cat was hit in the face with a firework.
Gill said her local firework display felt like the horror movie “The Purge” after she claims she saw youngsters launch rockets at the annual southside display near Muirend Pavilion Playing Fields last year.Gill was then told by the vet an explosive could have been thrown or strapped to the animal deliberately.
“People might think, like I did last year, that it is safe to let your pets out but it isn't. I would warn others to keep them inside if you can.The SSPCA issued a plea as Bonfire Night approaches saying: “Fireworks and bonfires can be very distressing and dangerous for many people and animals across the country.
