“I’ve got an email from the WBO that says ‘we are mandating you against Teofimo Lopez’. If I don’t go for the Lopez fight and fight Catterall to please people I couldn’t give a monkeys about, it’s my title. I’ve let go of all the other belts, but I’m keeping the belt.” Catterall told talkSPORT“Taylor injured himself and it looked like he was going to be fighting Lopez. I think I’ve made it quite clear to my promoters and my team that I don’t want a tick over fight.
He continued: “Before the [Liam] Smith vs [Chris] Eubank Jr fight, the Friday he pulls out and the week following he already had plans to fight Lopez.
