CBS Fall 2026 Schedule
Earlier than its peers, CBS has officially unveiled its full programming lineup for fall 2026. The eye network has been dominant in terms of ratings for years. As the TV landscape continues to change, with increasing stiff competition from traditional broadcasting, not to mention the rise in popularity of original content on streaming platforms, CBS endeavors to not only maintain its success but also grow it.
With the majority, if not all, of the finale content now locked and the renewal and cancellation process over, broadcasters are onto the next step of content planning. Looking ahead of the 2025-2026 TV cycle, they are in the final stages of deciding when shows will premiere in the fall, as well as which ones are lumped together for maximum potential. Unlike shows on streaming and cable, network shows have a set cycle, guaranteeing renewed projects' return next cycle. Before shows even enter its summer hiatus, CBS has already laid out its plans for next fall. CBS's Fall 2026 Schedule Is Dominated By Established Franchises & Spinoffs Officially unveiled during CBS's FYC 2026 event, which took place earlier than usual, the eye network's primetime roster looks good. It's a mix of established franchises, such as NCIS and FBI, top-rated newbies, and some new additions. Several shows are ending their runs this cycle, including The Neighborhood — its longest-running comedy, making space for fresh shows to be slotted in, such as the Mike Colter-spearheaded show from Robert and Michelle King, Cupertino and Ghosts' companion series also from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman — Eternally Yours. Check out the full schedule below: Considering the success of Tracker and Marshals' block on Sundays, it's not surprising that CBS isn't making any changes to that tandem. For Monday, the FBI tandem of flagship and CIA are moving an hour earlier in light of The Neighborhood and DMV getting cancelled. NCIS's Super Tuesday is maintained, with LL Cool J and Scott Caan's NCIS: New York getting the middle hour between NCIS season 24 and NCIS: Origins season 3. Thursday nights underwent the most changes, as CBS shuffles things around. While Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3 still opens the night at 8PM ET, it will be followed by Eternally Yours at 8:30 PM ET, taking over Ghosts' original timeslot. Elsbeth season 4 moves down the line, as it will now occupy the 9PM ET slot. Rounding up the night is Cupertino. Fridays are also unchanged with Fire Country season 5, Sherriff Country season 2, and Boston Blue season 2. Matlock, Ghosts & More Are Delayed To Winter 2027 Some established shows that have been previously-renewed are noticeably missing from CBS's fall 2026 portfolio, and that's because they are being moved deeper into the next cycle. This means that instead of premiering between September and October, these shows are being held for the midseason. The list of projects moving to a winter premiere includes Ghosts season 5, Matlock season 3, and NCIS: Sydney season 4. The long-in-development Einstein, starring Matthew Gray Gubler and Melissa Fumero, is also set to debut during midseason. Noticeably, CBS's 2026-2027 portfolio is light on comedies. For years, the network has delivered some of the most popular shows in the space, so this is particularly interesting. Comedic elements in procedurals can make up for the absence of traditional sitcoms, but the network also has several ones in-development. It is likely, however, that those projects will be debuted at a later time.
