Police believe the individual pictured may be able to help their investigation into the incident
A girl was followed to a B&M store then sexaully assaulted by a man in an alleyway, police have said. Detectives in Oldham said they believe she went into the store to get away from him.
A CCTV image of a man police want to speak with has now been published as an investigation continues and a public appeal is issued. Police said it happened on Tuesday, November 5 last year at around 5.30pm, but details have only just been released by the force. The girl is said to have run to a nearby house to raise the alarm afterwards. Writing on Facebook, GMP Oldham said: "Officers would like to speak to this man as we believe he can assist us with an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that took place in Oldham on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
"At around 5.30pm a girl was followed to B&M on Chadderton Way by an unknown man. We believe she entered the shop in an attempt to get away from him. "The girl then left the shop, but the man waited outside and continued to follow her a bit further before he approached her in an alleyway.
