Anyone with information is asked to come forward
Police investigating the theft of catalytic converters from two cars have released a CCTV image believed to be related to the crimes. The vehicles were targeted in Cotgrave overnight on Wednesday, November 2, to Thursday, November 3.
and are asking for the public's help as they investigate the thefts. They have released this image of a Volkswagen Golf which is believed to have been involved. Inspector Rob Lawton, Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Rushcliffe, said: “We are patrolling more regularly in Cotgrave following these thefts and are carrying out door-to-door inquiries. If any residents have CCTV, I’d urge they check between the times of midnight and 1am on Thursday 3 November.”The force received a call at around 8.30am on Thursday when a resident in Fir Dale reported a catalytic converter had been swiped from his vehicle during the night.
Inspector Lawton said: “I’d like to remind people of the importance of making it as difficult as possible for criminals to target your vehicles. Where possible ensure your vehicle is parked on your driveway or in your garage if you have one. Alternatively, ensure you are parked in a well-lit area.”
