CARCAR CITY, CEBU — The Cebu City government will form a dedicated task force to plan random inspections on establishments suspected of fronting as Philippine offshore gaming operators in the city.This is in response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to cease all POGO activities in the Philippines by the end of the year.
Antonietto Cañete this week to discuss the formation of the task force.Garcia said he received reports that some call centers or business process outsourcing companies have been running POGO-like operations in the city.He said the task force will look into all establishments registered under BPO to verify the legitimacy of the business and ensure that no illegal activities are taking place in the premises.
