Doctors 'don't know what caused' the allergic reaction that killed former Food Network chef Michael Chiarello, a representative for the 61 year old has revealed
Italian-American chef Michael Chiarello died after suffering "an acute allergic reaction that led to anaphylactic shock", and now a representative for the late star has said doctors "may never know" what caused the reaction.
Following Michael's death on Friday 6 October, his family, who were with him when he died, released a statement that read, "We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved patriarch Michael. Widely reported triggers causing anaphylactic shock are insect stings, peanuts, as seen in a recent Emmerdale storyline, tree nuts, milk, seafood and certain medicines such as antibiotics. Though an autopsy report could help identify what the chef might have had a reaction to, the representative did not say whether one would be carried out.
