The Traitors celebrity series has reportedly signed up a famous brother and sister to appear on the show, following Andy Murray and his mother Judy turning the series down
Following the success of mother-son duo Ross and Diane in the second series of The Traitors , it looks like the producers of the hit show known for its deceit and treachery are looking for another family for the celebrity version of the series. Celebrity Traitors is expected to film in early 2025, and BBC bosses are currently recruiting famous names for the show, with Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie reported to have been approached.
Daisy and Charlie are best known for starring together in the comedy series This Country, which they also co-wrote, and a source told The Sun they would be perfect for the series. “Bosses are convinced Daisy and Charlie will be great players. They're hilarious, witty and have award-winning acting skills.” OK! has contacted the BBC for comment.
The report came just hours after the Scottish Sun reported that tennis legend Andy Murray and his mum Judy had turned down an offer to appear on the series. The new show will be presented by regular Traitors host Claudia Winkleman, and other celebrities tipped to take part include Stephen Fry, Friends star Courteney Cox, TV host Richard Osman, sports presenter Clare Balding, celebrity couple Tess Daly and Vernon Kay, and Olympic medal winning diver Tom Daley.
Announcing the celebrity version of the show, as well as filming for a fourth series of the regular series , Mike Cotton, Creative Director Unscripted at Studio Lambert and Executive Producer for The Traitors said: “We are thrilled to be inviting some celebrities into our castle to come and play the game. Seeing famous faces navigate the round table or don the infamous green cloaks will be unmissable TV, and what a double treat for the fans with Series 4 also confirmed too.
“It’s a really strange thing. I so want them to catch a Traitor and I also want the Traitors to get away with it,” the host revealed in an interview with OK! last year.
