Football Insider has been told by Frank McAvennie that he needs to look for more regular game time away from Celtic as soon as possible.
The Hoops didn’t want to sell the attacker this summer but have informed the player that his first team opportunities will be limited this season.
The teenager made four first team appearances for the Hoops under Ange Postecoglou last term for a total of 39 minutes of game time., the Celts rejected a £450,000 bid from an unnamed English Premier League club for Vata this summer.McAvennie suggested Vata’s father may be pushing him towards an exit.
“I played with Rudi, his dad, and he will be telling him he has got to play. He is now at the stage in his career where he has got to get minutes.I would send him on loan but if he has to go away there is nothing wrong with that. He can go, make his name and come back to Celtic. He has not let anyone down at Celtic, he has been a great addition to the squad but I can see more players coming in now so he will be pushed down the pecking order.
