Former Celtic star Kris Commons and his fiancee Lisa Hague are set to finally tie the knot this weekend after a 22-year engagement surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
Despite the wedding being in Cheshire, Kris will be wearing tartan as a nod to their time in Scotland when he played for Celtic in 2011.They've ditched the bells and whistles and are planning an extra special low key event, and they will instead donate their wedding fund money to host two grief retreats in Scotland and England.
Speaking on Instagram, Lisa said: "Me and Kris decided that we are going to have a super small wedding. My wedding budget that I would have had, I'm going to give it back to the Grieve and Grow retreats as it just seems the right thing to do, we're a bit older getting married, we've got kids and we work really hard throughout the year fundraising so it seemed just a bit of waste of money to blow it on one day.
