Motherwell won't sell their skipper this month with injuries at Fir Park torpedoing any hopes of a January move
Wanted Lennon Miller will not exit Motherwell on Deadline Day to leave Celtic wanting as suitors have been told he is not for sale.
The Fir Park side turned down the Premiership champions' enquiries and have made clear the 18-year-old is going nowhere this month. Brendan Rodgers is a massive admirer of the Motherwell skipper but Record Sport understands there is no shot that Miller will leave on Monday. Udinese were rebuffed earlier this month with Motherwell chief Brian Caldwell adamant there is no rush to see their star man out the door. And their injury problems make any last-gasp exit a non-starter.
Celtic are in the hunt for new recruits with left-back and striker viewed as priority positions after the exits of Alex Valle and Kyogo. Kieran Tierney appears set to stick around with Arsenal until the end of the season while the push to land Mathias Kvistgaarden cooled over the weekend. But if Celtic are active in the final hours of the window then it won't be for Miller who has 18 months remaining on his current deal at Fir Park.
It's a fast moving Deadline Day and you can follow it all, including a countdown to the window closing, with our LIVE blog.
