The first school board meeting following the death of student Justin Johnson was held Monday night.
Students and residents showed up at Monday night’s Central Dauphin School Board meeting ready to share concerns about racism and bullying in the district.
About 70 people attended the meeting including Democratic state representatives Justin Fleming, D-Dauphin, Dave Madsen, D-Dauphin, and Patty Kim, D-Dauphin/Cumberland. A handful of students were listed on the agenda to speak. “The last several days have been difficult ones for Central Dauphin School District. Losing a student is heartbreaking,” he said.
