FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, the company which formerly sponsored the Mercedes Formula 1 team, has been given a 25-year prison sentence.

Bankman-Fried was convicted in November on seven counts of fraud and conspiracy to launder money, while he was also deemed responsible for losing roughly $10 billion in customer money, his sentence having now been handed out at Manhattan federal court.In handing out the sentence, Judge Lewis Kaplan said: “There is a risk that this man will be in position to do something very bad in the future.
