Chadwick Boseman was snubbed for the Best Actor gong at The Oscars on Sunday night, infuriating many film fans.
Despite also missing out on her award, Viola seemed in high spirits as she attended the ceremony, paying tribute to her late co-star Chadwick. "A lot of people enter this business because they want to be famous actors. They don't want to be actors they want to be famous actors. He entered it because he just wanted to be an artist."
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "They build the entire show around a Chadwick Boseman ending and then Anthony Hopkins won and didn't show up." He went on to leave his mum red-faced as she watched on from the BFI in London, who live streamed the event. During her speech, she recalled how the movie was shot in just 23 days while she was heavily pregnant with her son, who she gave birth to just weeks after filming wrapped.
