"His unparalleled record of achievement, character and service will be forever etched in the history of Manchester United and English football and his legacy will live on through the life-changing work of the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation.It has been a sad few days for the football community in this country, with Sir Bobby Charlton's death followed today by the passing of Everton chairman Bill Kenwright.He had been on the board at Everton since 1989, taking over as chairman at Goodison Park in 2004. The Liverpudlian was also one of the UK's most successful theatre producers and played Gordon Clegg in Coronation Street between 1968 and 2012.Everton said it was"in mourning" following the death of the club's longest-serving chairman for more than a century.There have been times this season when Harry Maguire has been left on the bench as Victor Lindelof has partnered Raphael Varane in the centre of Manchester United's defence.After an impressive performance at Sheffield United on Sunday, this seems like a significant show of faith in Maguire by manager Erik ten Hag. Tonight, prior to another European tie, Old Trafford will join as one to honour not only one of the greatest players to don their shirt and England's but one of the finest to ever lace up a pair of boots.
