I've been going since the 70s and my dad who is 87 since the early 50s when he'd go to Goodison one week and Anfield the next with his red pal. There's been loads of wonderful Goodison derbies but mid week under the lights, well, there's nothing like it - and I've seen football all over the world.
But the 4-4 in 1989 when I used to travel back from Uni and stood with my dad on the Gwladys Street was both electric and crazy. So that's the best....until tonight! The programme featured David Unsworth and had a fact file in him. One stat was he’d never missed a penalty…sure enough Everton got one and he stepped up only to miss it (I think he hit the bar!). My first game at Goodison was actually Brazil v Japan in 95 in the Umbro Cup. A 3-0 win for Brazil and saw Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Zinho, Jorginho too. Great memories.Celtic have faced Bayern Munich on four previous occasions in European competition, going winless across all four in the group stages of the Champions League (D1 L3).
