Actress Zazie Beets talks about dressing up as one of Chanel’s playful runway personalities, particularly with a large sunhat from the Spring 2024 show.
At Chanel’s fall 2024 show, models wore giant sun hats in pastel pink and blue shades. They are, by definition, main character hats, which means that these are accessories for those of us with outsized personalities–or at least a sense of bold personal style. Come next season, wearing these standout toppers will make everyone within a five-foot radius feel like an extra. Actress Zazie Beets immediately picked up on that while watching the show from the front row in Paris on Tuesday.
To match the outfit, Chanel makeup artist Tyron Machhausen gave Beetz a beauty look that also had plenty of personality, 'My inspiration for Zazie’s look was low-key, French girl chic! A little bit Amélie and a little bit Rock ’n’Roll. I wanted to create a clean and modern makeup look. To achieve this, I created a smudged, barely-there, eye liner detail on the bottom lash line, a glossy top lid, clean, glowy skin, and a soft lip.
