Actress Chanel Maya Banks has taken legal action against her mother and cousin, alleging harassment, false accusations, and a break-in into her apartment. Banks claims her family fabricated a missing person's report and spread lies to damage her career.
Chanel Maya Banks , 36, has filed a restraining order against both her mother and cousin after they reported her missing just one month earlier. The Gossip Girl alum, who was revealed to have been found in Texas by police just hours after the family filed the missing person's report, has since been active on social media to claim she was 'not missing.' In court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Banks filed a temporary restraining order against her cousin Danielle-Tori Singh on Thursday.
She additionally filed a civil harassment restraining order against her cousin and mother, Lutchmin Judy Kumar. Chanel claimed in the documents that both her mother and cousin 'acted together to harass and spread lies' in order to destroy her 'credibility' and career. The actress further alleged that the pair's missing person report last month was 'manufactured' and claimed they accused her husband of one year, Carlos, of murdering her.
