Channel 4 'axes' SAS: Who Dares Wins after eight series

The hit show sees a group of ex-army officials put a group of recruits through its Special Air Services training process, testing both emotional and physical strength in brutal challenges.

"Although the show’s celebrity spin-off will continue, losing the civilian version will be worrying given that it’s one of the channel’s best-known brands. The fear now is that it may be a sign of things to come."It comes just two years after its well-known chief instructor, Ant Middleton was reportedly dismissed for what was described as his "personal conduct.

The celebrity edition of the show has previously welcomed the likes of Ferne McCann, Maisie Smith, Pete Wicks and Fatima Whitbread. "And then when I met everyone, I thought, I don't have a chance, but, you know, I gave 110 per cent every day, and there's nothing that didn't make me proud. So I'm over the moon."
