She's one of a few to have thrown their hat into the ring 👀
Charity leader Sarah Smith has officially launched her bid to win the Blackpool South seat for Labour at the next General Election.
The official party selection process is underway and is expected to formally conclude by March 18 following a vote by local Labour members. She is the third candidate to launch a bid to be chosen as the candidate, with Chris Webb and Simon Cartmell also in the frame. “The town deserves better and I believe together we can do better for Blackpool, improving lives today and for future generations.
“I am standing to be the candidate for Blackpool South because I know we can win, I know we can restore hope to our community and change our country; now is the time to write a new chapter and rewrite those headlines.”
