'Volunteer Scotland is delighted to be able to include LDVG on the list of achievers'
The accolade recognises the management support and professionalism of the systems and structures that support the charity organisation’s 91 volunteers who help provide vital wellbeing activities to the community in Larkhall and South Lanarkshire.
Anne Hislop, Investing in Volunteers Manager for Scotland, said: “Investing in Volunteers is the UK award with a unique focus on volunteering. To become an IiV Achiever, an organisation needs to demonstrate their commitment to their volunteers and be able to evidence high quality volunteer management in practice. It needs the support of everyone from volunteers to Board members and staff.
Sandra McCrory, LDVG Manager said: “We are delighted to have been successful on our external Volunteer Scotland audit which confirms that LDVG is fully compliant with current best practice in relation to how we develop, support, and manage our most vital resource, our volunteers. It is very refreshing to have such a positive objective audit result and to have achieved such a high standard in volunteer management.
The work of the volunteers is highly appreciated by staff and members and they experience a very welcoming atmosphere at LDVG.
