Charity worker suing for £300,000 after ‘drunk’ scientist ‘dropped her at Christmas party’
A charity worker claims she has been unable to work for six years after being ‘manhandled’ at a Christmas party by a Cambridge University scientist.
She is now suing her previous employer Cancer Research UK after claiming staff were responsible for the behaviour of the visiting scientist who was apparently drunk at the time. The judge said he would clearly be liable to Mrs Shelbourne in damages for trespass to the person and in negligence, but added that he was not being sued by her.
