The Ferrari driver will start at the back of the grid as McLaren are on course to claim the constructors' championship
Charles Leclerc will start the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from the back of the grid due to a 10-place penalty and his reaction upon seeing Lando Norris take pole position speaks volumes.
But with the McLarens locking out the front row and Leclerc being at the back of the grid, it is extremely likely that Ferrari's hopes of clinching a first constructors' crown since 2008 have now been extinguished, unless the race is incredibly eventful and sees a dramatic turnaround which puts both Ferraris at the front somehow and several places separating them from Norris and Piastri.
"Our tyre degradation seems better than that of some of the others, so I hope this can give us some advantage. Anything can happen tomorrow and we will give it absolutely everything."
