A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: 'Following a recent chest infection, The Queen continues to experience some lingering post-viral symptoms, as a result of which doctors have advised that, after a busy week of engagements, Her Majesty should prioritise sufficient rest. TV presenter Lorraine Kelly also make made an appearance with her Change and Check Choir led by Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow.
Later, the King could be seen greeting an array of guests, from extravagantly-dressed Eurovision winner Nemo to Ted Lasso star Ellie Taylor - who sported an open-mouthed look of amazement as she found herself face-to-face with the monarch.
